The Side Quests

Welcome to your Adventure Log!
A blog for your campaign

Every campaign gets an Adventure Log, a blog for your adventures!

While the wiki is great for organizing your campaign world, it’s not the best way to chronicle your adventures. For that purpose, you need a blog!

The Adventure Log will allow you to chronologically order the happenings of your campaign. It serves as the record of what has passed. After each gaming session, come to the Adventure Log and write up what happened. In time, it will grow into a great story!

Best of all, each Adventure Log post is also a wiki page! You can link back and forth with your wiki, characters, and so forth as you wish.

One final tip: Before you jump in and try to write up the entire history for your campaign, take a deep breath. Rather than spending days writing and getting exhausted, I would suggest writing a quick “Story So Far” with only a summary. Then, get back to gaming! Grow your Adventure Log over time, rather than all at once.

Forgotten City

Our story here includes the half orc ranger, Krog Windspitter, the wise wizard Meldair, the rabbi cleric Judah, the sturdy fighter Tobias Ellister, and Mograine, a battle paladin of Heronious.

It begins one week after their dealings with the red dragon Nebarious, and starts in the home of one of their former employers. Krog is introduced to the others by Mograine and informs them that he has been asked to investigae some strange encounters near an old city east of Sydendale. The group agrees and after a bit of shoping(Judah now dressed in a newset of fullplate armor and Mograine with a beautiful new masterwork Greatsword)the group is pointed to a trio of odd halflings. through a VERY strange conversation they learn where the city exactly is located and the best ways to get there. As they leave they realize that they pobably will never see this trio again.

After a short deliberation, the party decides to head south to the main road then follow it to the east. after hours of traveling, they come across a grisley site. The remains of a traveling family, long dead. Mograine investigates the bodys, Meldair investigates the wagon and finds 20 gold pieces. Judah is the first to notice the odd assortment of tracks around the area, he calls Krog over and points it out. Krog realizes that the tracks are from wolves, boars and an unidentified animal.

Shortly after a symphony of screams comes from the dorection that they were headed. A small squad of goblins, unarmed and terrified, come cahrging out of the forest directly at them. While the others take notice of the condition of the goblins, Tobias begins to fire his bow at the closest one. Krog managess to snare one and hold it fast in order gain some knowledge and learns very quickly what is harrasing them. A small pack of wolves and a pair of boars working together!

After dispatching the pack, due in part to Meldairs always handy sleep spell, the group decides to bed down and rest for the night. The next morning and a few nmore wolves later. The party finds itself at the gates of an old overgrown city. The gates are even being guarded by a pair of black bears. Tobias again is the first to act and sends and arrow at the sleeping bears. the first charges and is killed while the other is killed before it can react fully.

tey see the front agtes are not locked or barred but held together by many thick vines. After both Krog and Mograine attempt to forcfully open the doors fails. It is Meldair that wlaks up and finds the weak spots in the doors, and begins to push them open. (to the absolute amaziment of the group). Recieving help from Tobias to hold the doors open and Mograine cutting the vines, the doors fall from their rusted hinges revealing the old city inside.

Forgotten City II

As our party heads into the overgrown city, the thick vines and shrubbery begin to twist and bend together seperating the cleric Judah from the rest o the group. fortunatly though, he manages to toss the healing wand to his companions.

Shortly after entering they are attacked by a large Assassin Vine. Threat is short lived as the wizard turns to one of is rarely used offinsive spells. Extending his hands he reduces the vines to ash with his Scorching Ray.

As the group begins to explore, they hear a very familiar voice coming from across the old stable. SLOOT HAS RETURNED. Mogaine is the first to meet up with her and the coucar that has started to charge her from the tall grass. The cougars(it is soon revealed to a pack of three) brgin to bite and rake at the rouge and paladin causing much damage to the two. Crog makes use of his ranger skills and climbs up a nearby tree to gain the advantage with his bow and arrow. unfortunatly for him though his skills are not needed as the cougars are handled. One having been killed by Mograine and the others pounce misses and goes crashing into the the fence. Causing a lage peice if splintered wood to become inbedded in its shouldered. Crog instead if loosing his arrow on the already dying cat, he instead sets his arow in fire and sends it flying in the opposite drection towards the tallest patch of grass he can see. The arrow dissapears into the grass and a wisp of smoke quickly starts to rise.

Ine the aftermath of the battle the group begins to search the biuldings. The paladin finds a door stuck fast after failing to force the door open he decids to kick at it. While he does make contact with the door it again holds and he is forced back down the stairs and falls prone. After a short battle with a pack of wolves that involved Crog leaping onto another biulding and falling through its roof. They dscover that they have been watched by a squad of elves.

The group decides to take rest, and are told a story of by the leader of the elves of a rouge elf druid has stolen an important item from the elvish clan. They eventually come face to face with the elf and the battle ensues as he calls forth a large Dire Bear to kill the intruders. Unfortunatly he underetamates he group, as he is distracted by the more imposing members he is stuck from behind(and in the behind) by Sloot. He summons forth a cloud of fog in hopes of distracting the party. After both that and his entaglement spell fails to stop him he is forced to retreat. But not before he is hit with a infeeblement spell from Meldair. The druid trys to retreart back into the ruins of the old church but cannot stand up to the might of our adventures and is struck down by the wizards scorching ray and falls to the floor in a heap.
